Washing Machine Guides

How to fix your washing machine if it stops spinning

If your clothes are coming out very wet, your Beko washing machine may not be spinning fully during cycles. There are a number if things which could cause this, from how the washing machine has loaded to the pump and filter needing to be cleaned. Here are a few things to check:

  1. Are you loading the machine correctly? Single absorbent items such as dressing gowns and towels will soak up too much water causing the machine to be off-balanced which can affect the spin cycle. If you think this might be an issue check out our guide to correctly loading your Beko washing machine for the best results.
  2. Are you overfilling the detergent drawer? Too much detergent and softener can cause excessive foaming inside your machine which can affect the wash and spin. Our guide to loading and storing detergent.
  3. Are the pump or filter dirty or blocked? This can cause performance issues with your washing machine including the spin cycle. See our how to remove and clean the pump filter guide.

If you notice your Beko washing machine is stopping mid-cycle, this guide will show you some of the potential issues and how to fix them.
