Cookers

1. Where can I obtain the cable to install my electric cooker?

Safety legislation dictates that our electric cookers must be installed by a qualified electrician who should supply the correct size cable and carry out the necessary safety tests and for this reason the product is supplied without cable.

2. How do I set the clock on my cooker?

Switch off at the mains and leave for at least 30mins to allow memory to clear. Then follow the set up procedure outlined in the user instructions.

3. After installation parts of my cooker are not working, why is this?

Was the product installed by a qualified electrician/ Gas Safety Registered Engineer? After correct installation has been verified & if problem persists please refer to our Customer Service department on 0845-600-4911.

4. What can I use to clean my cooker hotplates?

The cleaning of sealed hotplates should be done when they are cold. Wipe the hotplates with a little domestic non-scratch cleaning cream following the circular grooved pattern on the hotplate. Afterwards, wipe over with a damp clean cloth, making sure that all the cleaner has been removed. Then dry by switching on for a few minutes. Apply a thin coat of cooking oil from time to time to provide a protective coating.

5. What types of pans can I use on my ceramic hob?

Optimum efficiency is achieved by using pans that match the diameters of the elements. If the pan is too small energy is wasted. Do not use pots that have concave or convex bottoms. Do not use aluminium-bottomed pots. Use steel or heat-resistant glass pots. Do not use pots made from Boron glass or Pyrex, which are generally oven type containers.

6. Can my gas cooker be converted to LPG?

A large range of our cookers can be converted to LPG please contact Customer on 0845-600-4911 to confirm & receive your conversion kit FREE of charge. Must be fitted by a Gas Safety Registered Engineer/ qualified electrician.

7. Are the ceramic hobs on my cooker designed to switch on and off?

Yes. It is a feature to maximise energy efficiency while maintaining a steady cooking temperature.

8. Where is the serial number on my product?

Each product range has a fixed location for the rating plate which contains the Model and Serial Number information. When viewed from the front: On single oven in the warmer compartment. On double oven on the right hand side below main door.

Refrigeration

1. Where is the serial number on my product?

Each product range has a fixed location for the rating plate which contains the Model and Serial Number information. When viewed from the front: Inside wall of the fridge compartment on the left or right hand side.

2. Can the doors on my fridge/freezer be reversed?

With the exception of the model FSB720 all our fridge/freezer doors are reversible. The kit is supplied with the product.

3. Will my refrigeration product work in a garage?

All Beko frost free combi fridge freezers and all freezers are designed to continue to work in cold ambient temperatures down to -15C, meaning the appliance can be stored in a garage or unheated/cold buildings and your frozen food will be protected.

All Beko top mount, static fridge frezers, larders and fridges can operate in lower ambient environments down to 5C.

4. How often should I defrost the fridge icebox?

In normal use approximately once a month.

5. Are all Beko freezers capable of working at ambient temperatures below zero degrees C and down to -10 C?

Yes. All our freezers are designed, manufactured and tested accordingly.

6. Where is the black tube at the back of the fridge connected?

It is a drain tube to allow defrost water to trickle into the drain tray fitted above the compressor.

7. Why is there a wall of ice on the back of my frost-free freezer?

This is a feature of the auto-defrost function.

8. No Ice is being produced (AP930 model only).

Make sure the anti-perspiration switch is activated.

Laundry tips

Washing Machine

1. My appliance is moving or jumping around?

Make sure all the transit bolts have been removed. These are located at the rear of the appliance. If problems persist please contact customer service on 0845-600-4911.

2. Why is my appliance making a squeaking noise?

Make sure the polystyrene block has been removed. You can check this has been done by tipping the appliance onto its rear feet and checking under the front base of the appliance.

3. Why is my machine leaking water?

Check the inlet and outlet hoses for leak and ensure these connections are secure. If found to be faulty please refer to original installer.

4. My washing machine is not spinning.

Ensure there is sufficient weight with an even load of washing. Please do not over load or under load as the spin cycle will not complete. If problems persist please contact customer service on 0845-600-4911.

5. Why is my appliance not starting?

Check the appliance has not got child-lock engaged. Refer to instruction manual for unlock details. If problem persists, please contact Customer Services on 0845-600-4911.

6. My washing machine is not taking detergent/ fabric conditioner or leaking from the door.

Remove and clean the dispenser drawer to remove any built up washing powder/fabric softener. If problems persist please contact customer service on 0845-600-4911.

Tumble Dryer

1. My appliance is not starting

Check the mains power cable and socket are operational. If the appliance is bleeping child-lock might be activated. Refer to instruction manual for details on how to remove child lock. If problem persists, please contact customer services on 0845-600-4911.

2. My appliance doesn’t work when ‘On’ button is pressed.

Firstly please ensure that the door is closed properly and then check that the last program was not interrupted. Do this by pressing and holding the Start/ Pause/ Cancel button in for 5 seconds to reset the program. If problem persists, please contact customer services on 0845-600-4911.

3. Anti-crease light is flashing

Anti-crease mode is activated to keep clothes crease free for up to 2 hours. Clothes can be removed at any time during this time.

4. Where is the serial number on my product?

Each product range has a fixed location for the rating plate which contains the Model and Serial Number information. This is located on the inner rim of the doorframe.

Dishwashers

1. What does the Beko OneTouch do for me?

Using a series of 11 sensors to monitor how full the wash load and how soiled the dishes are. By the touch of a single button the Beko OneTouch will assess the load and then automatically assess the best programme, displaying each stage of the programme and the remaining time on the touch control LCD screen. Salt and rinse aid levels are also indicated on the LCD screen, which includes a safety key lock.

Mixed wash technology gives two different levels of water pressure meaning that whilst your dirty pots and pans are given a thorough wash, your delicate glassware will be treated with the utmost respect.

2. My dishwasher is not draining.

Check the water filters and the outlet hose for kinks or blockages. If problems persist please contact customer service on 0845-600-4911

Beko general (website use)

1. Do you sell direct?

We do not sell direct to the general public. In order to purchase one of our products you would need to go through one of our retailers. A list of our retail stockists can be found by where to buy

2. What is the difference between gross and net capacity?

Gross capacity is the calculated internal volume when the appliance is empty - i.e. without shelves etc.
Net capacity is the calculated internal volume with shelves, salad crispers etc inside the appliance.

Repairs & Warranty

1. What is the procedure for Repairs?

Call customer service on 0845-600-4911 to speak to a Customer Service representative to help diagnose the problem and schedule a repair.

NB. Comet & Sainsbury’s have their own bought out guarantee. This means that all products bought through Comet & Sainsbury’s will be handled and repaired by their own service team. You can contact their Customer Service Department on telephone number 0870-542-5425.

3. Do you sell extended warranty?

We do not sell direct but extended warranty is available on our products from our partner Domestic & General. Please click here to register your product.

4. What is covered by the Manufacturer warranty?

In the unlikely event that the product should develop a fault due to a manufacturing defect the cost of any spare parts or labour required to correct the defect is fully covered.
