How to Clean the Water Dispenser in your Fridge Freezer

Did you know that cleaning the water dispenser in your non-plumbed Beko fridge freezer is a great way of maintaining your appliance? We’ve put together this how-to guide with quick and easy steps to help you find out how to clean your fridge freezer’s water dispenser. Not only will this help you to enjoy fresher water, you’ll love how clean your water dispenser looks afterwards too.


Removing the Water Dispenser

The first step towards a cleaner water dispenser is removing the dispenser from its position. Watch the video above to see how to remove the water dispenser from your fridge freezer. Or, follow these quick and easy steps to find out how to do this:

  1. Ensure the water tank is empty and that there are no items in the shelf above it
  2. Remove the water funnel located in the shelf above the water tank
  3. Take hold of the shelf and lift upwards to remove
  4. Repeat these steps for the water tank
  5. Once you’ve removed the water tank, you’ll notice a small rubber ring where the nozzle sits
  6. You can remove and clean the rubber ring, replacing it before the water tank is refitted 

Cleaning the Water Dispenser

Next, you’ll need to clean the water dispenser. Please note that the water dispenser is not dishwasher safe, so you will need to wash it by hand. Watch the video above to see how to clean the water dispenser. Or, follow these quick and easy steps to find out how to do this:

  1. Separate the white plastic lid from the water tank
  2. Clean the white plastic lid and the water tank using a mild detergent, like washing up liquid
  3. Rinse and dry thoroughly

Refitting the Water Dispenser

The last thing you’ll need to do in this process is to refit the water dispenser. Please note that this refers to water dispensers, and not water and ice dispensers. Watch the video above to see how to refit the water dispenser. Or, follow these quick and easy steps to find out how to do this:

  1. Reattach the white plastic lid to the water tank
  2. Ensure the rubber ring is in place
  3. Refit the water tank to its position
  4. Place the shelf and water funnel back on top
  5. Refill your water dispenser’s tank using a jug
