Your tumble dryer will not operate unless the door is fully closed, you should hear it click into place. To reset the appliance, press and hold the Start/Pause/Cancel button for five seconds to cancel the current programme, then press Start again to begin a new one.
Some condenser tumble dryers are fitted with red locking clips behind the lower panel. Check that these are securely locked, then try using the machine again.
If your dryer still won’t respond, first make sure the power supply and control panel are all working properly. If you’re unable to resolve the issue, or if there appears to be a fault with the door or power supply, please book a repair and one of our engineers will attend to fix the appliance.
If the dryer powers on but the drum doesn’t rotate, see our FAQ on why a tumble dryer might not spin for help diagnosing the issue.
