Which type of pans should I use on a gas hob?

When using a hob, it is important to ensure you are using the correct pans for your appliance type. Unlike induction hobs, which need ferrous metal pans to work, most pans will work on a gas hob without any problems, unless the manufacture of the pans specifies otherwise.

Flat bottomed pans are not essential for gas hobs thanks to the pan supports. As a result, gas hobs are highly flexible when it comes to compatible cooking equipment. Pans with thin metal surfaces are often thought to be the most compatible for gas cooking. A thin metal surface allows the pan to heat up quickly and cool down quickly, giving you more control over the heat of your cooking.
